James Van Der Beek’s move to Texas allowed the actor to spend time with his family and connect with nature.

“We love it. We have a lot more space,” Van Der Beek told Fox News Digital. “We all need a more immediate connection to nature. It’s really a very good decision, and the children are really happy.”

Van Der Beek and his wife Kimberly made the decision to move to Texas from Los Angeles in 2020. The ‘Rules of Attraction’ star said life has been “very different” so far.

“The parks have been amazing,” he told Fox News Digital. “We’ve been to state parks and national parks. That’s just one of the benefits of getting out of the big city is getting to a place where we could just have more space just outside our door. It’s a very, it’s a very different life.”

Haylie Duff, who grew up in Texas, made the decision to return to the Lone Star State during the coronavirus pandemic.

“I think so much about my fear of leave Los Angeles was that my career was there and I would never work again or anything like that,” she told Fox News Digital. “And, you know, I think all of that has taught us that Zoom can definitely be a very powerful tool. And we can, you know, very fortunately for me, continue to work from here, and I can live near my father, which I haven’t lived here (near) my father for a very long time.

“And so there’s a lot of family here that I can hang out with now that I didn’t have before. And we love that. We’ve met some great friends here, and we’ve really landed in a great place here.”

“I’m so grateful that work opportunities are still there for me,” she told Fox News Digital. “And I’m also a big believer that God has your back. And so you make the right decision for your family, and he has it.”

In April, Alves told Fox News Digital that she and her family don’t mind living outside of Hollywood. They prefer it.

I grew up saying those things coming from “a farming family. For me, being from Brazil and then coming to Texas, I discovered a lot of similarities in terms of what the families do here, especially going to church on Sundays and being very into the at outside. It was a great transition.

Alves, whose mother-in-law moved in during the coronavirus pandemic, added, “We lived in Malibu for many years and having the paparazzi outside our door every day — every day — when it becomes normal, you don’t don’t realize how much it really affects the things you do until you leave and get out of it.

“Children have a private way of growing up. So from that perspective, it was very important.”

“Hope Floats” brought Bullock to Texas, but she had considered “getting away” from Los Angeles before the script reached the actress.

“I was making fear-based decisions, based on other people telling me what to do,” she told the outlet. “I was trying to please everyone. I was trying to be all those perky adjectives that people had attached to me. I didn’t trust my own instincts. I needed to get away.

“I needed to find a place where I could go to the convenience store and get a Slurpee anytime I wanted and not have to talk about the movie industry.”

“I had friends here, ran a business here, and loved the pace. Austin is cosmopolitan without being pretentious, it’s earthy,” Grenier told Austin Life Magazine. “People are smart and successful, but they don’t flaunt it. There’s nothing to prove, people accept you and it feels good right away.”

Grenier had worked on environmental initiatives for years, but felt disconnected from the cause.

“I’ve been doing environmental work for 20 years. I’ve started organizations and run nonprofits, all designed to tell people to live more in tune with nature – and yet I wasn’t living that way. “, did he declare. exit.

The ‘Entourage’ actor admitted he didn’t miss much from his former life in Los Angeles.

“I don’t miss anything in this world. Look, if you stay on Instagram long enough, you’re going to find FOMO somewhere, but everyone’s pretending to be living their best life,” he said. “At the end of the day, I know I am, so I don’t even tell anyone.”
