Celebrities Get Real About Plastic Surgery: ‘Good Plastic Surgery You Can’t Tell’

NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles!

Celebrity plastic surgery has long been a taboo subject, but stars are starting to talk about the work they did or didn’t do.

From Busy Philipps, who says she’s never worked, to Heidi Montag Pratt, who’s already had 10 surgeries in one day, celebrities go to extremes.

As for the procedures celebrities have performed, Dr. Paul S. Nassif, MD, FACS and star of “Botched!” explained to Fox News Digital that the focus is now on the eyes.

“Eyes were the new lips since everyone was wearing masks,” Dr. Nassif said.

Besides eyelid rejuvenation, Nassif noted that other common celebrity procedures include deep face lifts or deep face and neck lifts. He pointed out that the look is “very natural”.

“Good plastic surgery, you can’t see it. Very important to know,” Nassif said.

Here are some celebrity plastic surgery confessions.

Busy Philipps recently insisted she hadn’t had any plastic surgery.

“People actually accused me of labor,” she recalled before saying she had “no Botox, no fillers.”

While Philipps said she has “no judgment” towards women who have plastic surgery, she doesn’t particularly like it when young women experiment with it.

“I’m disappointed when very young women start fucking with their faces,” Philipps said during an appearance on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast.

“My teenage face and my face today are totally different because of kids, hormones, weight loss and gain, working out. Structurally, I can’t even explain to you at how different I look now.”

Khloe Kardashian has been accused of performing all kinds of work, including a face transplant. The ‘Kardashians’ star denied the rumor during the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ reunion with Andy Cohen.

“Everyone says, ‘Oh my God, she had her third face transplant.’ But I got a nose job [with] Dr. Raj Kanodia,” Kardashian explained.

“Everybody’s so upset, like, why am I not talking about this?” Kardashian added. “You’re the first person in an interview who’s ever asked me about my nose. I did, of course, have injections – not really Botox. I responded horribly to Botox.”

Khloe recently thanked her plastic surgeon for her “perfect” nose job after Kanodia wished her a happy birthday on Instagram.

Model Tyra Banks admitted to having had her nose done in an interview with People magazine in 2018.

“I had bones in my nose that were growing and itchy,” Banks explained. “I could breathe fine, but I added cosmetic surgery. I admit it! Fake hair, and I did my nose. I feel I have a responsibility to tell the truth.”

However, Banks doesn’t think women should be judged for their work.

“Fix it or flaunt it – I think women should be able to do both,” she admitted.

“There’s a dividing line, either you’re supernatural or you live at the plastic surgeon’s. It’s OK to jump back and forth on that line. You want a hair weave? Alright. You want permanent eyebrows? Okay. We women need to stop judging.”

Heidi Montag Pratt sadly had 10 procedures on the same day in 2010 at the age of 23. Procedures included nose revision, mini brow lift, breast augmentation revision, liposuction, and chin reduction.

At the time, Montag told People magazine that she had never felt “more beautiful and sexier.” However, looking back, Montag admitted that she was “too young” to make those decisions about her appearance.

“I was way too young to make such a life changing decision and I was under such pressure because it was the start of comment sections, negativity and hate on the internet,” said Montag at Cosmopolitan. “I was just very involved at the time – like so many young people – but I was also on TV, where every perceived flaw is magnified. I think I looked at myself in the mirror a bit too much. I would have liked to wait and I didn’t make a decision so young because I have long-term health complications.”

Drew Barrymore has no plans to get anything done to her face as she gets older.

“I’ve never done anything to my face, and I’d love to try not to. Never say never,” Barrymore once said on his show. “The thing that matters to me and always feels relevant in my life is the face. I know myself. I’m a very addictive person. I inject, [and] I’m going to look like Jocelyn Wildenstein by Friday.

“We’re going to get old, things are going to get bad, and that’s okay. It’s part of life.”

Ashley Tisdale

Ashley Tisdale had her nose done in 2007. Despite claiming it was done to correct breathing issues when she was 20, the ‘High School Musical’ star faced backlash negative in the media.

She spoke about the reviews in an article on her website in 2021.

“Plastic surgery was not culturally accepted then as it is now,” Tisdale wrote. “When I did, I was scrutinized, judged, and ashamed of my decision. I made a decision that was nobody’s business (and STILL is nobody’s business no one) and for this decision, I was constantly uncomfortable about it.

“It took me years to process that experience – an experience that I also didn’t think was so important,” she added.

Megan Fox

While Megan Fox advocates letting women decide if they want to work, the actress recommends undergoing therapy before going under the knife.

“I encourage everyone to speak with a therapist first, to try to understand where this desire comes from, because often it is not related to your teeth, your nose or your chin. The surgery does not go well alleviate that insecurity for you,” Fox told Allure magazine in 2010.

“If, then, you feel, ‘This is something I want to do,’ then do it. It’s amazing that we have the technology to do what we do.”
