These are just some of the questions that I get from many of our clients when I mention marketing their business through Social Bookmarking? Social bookmarking is a method for Internet users to store, organize, search, and manage bookmarks of web pages on the Internet with the help of metadata. Members of Social Bookmarking sites save links to web pages that they want to remember and/or share. These bookmarks are usually public and can be shared only with specified people or groups, shared only inside certain networks, or another combination of public and private domains. The allowed people can usually view these bookmarks chronologically, by category or tags, or via a search engine.
This marketing tool is far more productive than other traditional methods of promoting sales especially if you are targeting a younger generation. The traffic from your site will increase by leaps and bounds if you promote it correctly. Through Social Bookmarking you can build your reputation in your chosen area of expertise.

Yes it does… The best way to prove this is to give all a great example. Matt Cutts from Google achieved a total of 3.4M visits and 5.7M pageviews, plus 46K RSS readers last year of 2008. The summary of his traffic is shown below:

As you can see, Google and direct visits were a large fraction of his traffic, but so were sites such as Digg, StumbleUpon, Google Image Search, Techmeme, delicious, and Twitter which majority are Social Bookmarking sites. It’s a good reminder that social media sites and places like image search can drive quite a bit of traffic.
So for all those doubting in marketing through Social Bookmarking, you might want to think twice as this avenue of sales is worth every penny.

Your right. I believe this is still a crucial part of marketing. As we all know Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter brings a lot of prospects to websites and businesses.
This is a new way of marketing and it has been promising so far or sure.

Social bookmarking is internet marketing. Social bookmarking is good for our website & business it is a great way for the growth of business in a social bookmarking you have to submit your web pages it is also help for high ranking in search engine toolbar like Google and yahoo etc.
