It is very common for me to ask random people about their opinion in regards to the websites, graphic designs, flash contents, and logos that I have developed for my clients. I surely like to hear the opinion of a third party when it comes to my designs. So this time around, I asked some people to give me some feedback about this blog (Web Blog Press).
One of my constructive feedbacks was from a forum member. He suggested shortening the previews of my posts on the homepage. To be honest this is something, I have wanted to do for awhile. I know that this blog is not the quickest to load and probably due to the 10 full articles that are being displayed all the time. To change that, I used a customizable plug-in to solve this problem, so to all, I give you “Evermore“.

Do you want to change the look of your WordPress site or maybe to put something like a banner or adsense code on your blog? In order to do this you need to know about three important things: template files, functions and CSS.
Template Files
These files are stored in a directory (wp-content/themes/template-name/). So if you are using “default theme”, you need to access the files that are stored in “wp-content/themes/default/” directory.

When using WordPress Blogs, you need to use the proper elements. Headings are always at the top. Paragraphs need to have the right structure. Make sure your lists are actual List and not some gibberish. The theme should be constructed properly, if you use Images make sure there is text to back it up. Keep your content up to date and good, great of course would be better. Let you creativity flow. Use the permalink structure.
When setting up each of these you need to keep the following content and styles in the forefront of your mind. For Page titles, it should mean and say exactly what the content on the page is. Alt tags are where you put text to match your images. Tags are how each link goes to a specific part on each web page. Landing sites, is when your visitors actually make it to your site, what do you want them to see. If you think they may have a hard time finding the right stuff or if they are not directly pointed to the right spot think of adding a blog there.
Use Google sitemaps, this helps to make sure you’re the content is accurate and makes sure it is right. Pinging aggregators make sure that any time a new blog is posted relating to your site it is directed to you. Keep Valid markup in mind, this makes sure that the keywords and your site are valid and accurate in content. Use BackLinks you and your friends can help each other and other bloggers by back linking to each other. Use the titles as the primary keywords. Be sure to include links in your forums and emails.

I am a website designer and also a site promoter, due to my line of work, I often get asked by my clients who started to adopt blogging on how to optimize their blog page.
They look behind the admin pages and realize that there are many PHP files within a single blog theme. Most of them are familiar with HTML coding but not PHP so, when they look around the files, they don’t really know where to add their keywords. They usually search around and look for the “meta keywords†tag but can’t seem to find them.
Unfortunately, meta tags are not something that WordPress installs just because they are too many parameters that are author specific.

Blogs (A.K.A. – Weblogs) are the BIGGEST thing going right now online because of there many uses for both the Web Surfer and the Internet Marketer.
But, you probably already know that so for the purpose of this article I’m not going to talk about ‘Blogs’ in general because I’m sure you’ve read enough about them by now and/or you already have a few kicking around the net.
